Description

With the help of a consistency matrix, the compatibility of elements as well as their contradictions and conflicting goals with one another are examined. Consistent combinations of elements are determined.

Procedure

1. Compare all elements in pairs
2. Mark and document every incompatible combination of two in the matrix
3. Only fill in one half above or below the main diagonal, since the direction of the relationship has no meaning and therefore a symmetrical matrix
4. Form combinations of several features that are consistent with each other
5. The evaluation of the consistency matrix can be done for smaller matrices by stepwise consistency analysis and for larger matrices by mathematical methods of cluster analysis
6. Validate the findings obtained using a plausibility analysis
