Description

SWOT analysis is a method for strategic management to characterize a company in a relatively clear manner. The company's internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats are compared in order to make the strategic position of the company clear and to derive (possible) strategic options and strategies from this.

Procedure

  1. Determining company-internal strengths and weaknesses as well as company-external opportunities and threats
  2. Defining an analysis: strengths/weaknesses analysis, potential analysis, market analysis or opportunities/risks analysis
  3. Corresponding SO, WO, ST and WT strategies are then determined according to the results
