Activities

  • Activity 4: Assessing and selecting the solution concept

Description

With the weighted point evaluation, several alternative solutions are compared and analysed with regard to their degree of fulfilment of different decision criteria. The decision criteria are weighted according to their relevance. The degree of fulfilment of the decision criteria of the individual solution alternatives is assessed individually. The assessment of the individual criteria is offset against their weightings and totalled for each alternative solution. In this way, the solution alternatives are ranked.

Possibilities for support

Provision of process potentials in order to better assess the degree of fulfilment of the evaluation criteria

Procedure

  1. Selection of evaluation criteria for evaluating the solution concepts
  2. Weighting of the evaluation criteria
  3. Assess the degree of fulfilment of the individual evaluation criteria for each solution concept
  4. Calculate the degree of fulfilment with the corresponding criteria weights and add them up for the solution concepts
  5. Put solution concepts in order
