Activities
- Activity 1: Clarifying and itemising the problem or task
- Activity 9: Assurance of the fulfilment of the requirements
Description
In crucial situations, a cause-effect analysis can help to analyze the effects and causes of important events or conditions and thus identify causal connections and networks.
Procedure
- Choose the direction of action: forward or backward cause effect analysip. In the first case, the cause at the beginning is taken as a starting point, while in the second case, the effect at the end is used as the starting point
- Specify the initial element as a cause for which possible error consequences are to be searched for or an error for which causes are to be determined
- Starting from each newly determined element, determine the causes or effects until the required level of detail is reached
