Activities

  • Activity 3: Searching for solution principles and their solutions

Necessary tools

  • Association list and catalogs with biological effects

Description

This method is used for seemingly mature products or when fixating on existing solutions and is used to look for solution ideas. Above all, the search for unconventional solution ideas is supported.

Procedure

  1. Formulation of the search goal based on functional considerations and the consideration of existing boundary conditions
  2. Assignment of biological systems to the problem at hand
  3. Analysis of the assigned systems with regard to their suitability and possible implementation
  4. Technical implementation
  5. Was the level of abstraction chosen sensibly when formulating the goal?
  6. If the search turned out to be unsuccessful: Was the goal formulation not appropriate or was the search not exhaustive enough?
