Description

Analysis planning serves to optimally adapt the analysis effort to the respective situation. It helps to focus activities specifically on the analysis goal in order to avoid unnecessary steps and reduce the number of analysis activities.

Procedure

  1. Identification of properties to be analyzed (for example using a property list)
  2. Assessment of the current boundary conditions regarding the available resources and the available time frame
  3. Question whether the information required is actually the information currently required and in what quality (accuracy) it must be available
  4. Define analysis procedures
  5. Define combinations of the expressions of certain characteristics to be examined
  6. Determine the analysis process as well as the tools and resources required and determine the form of evaluation and documentation
